Taiwan Smile Food Co., Ltd. (Pop-Smile) is the first popcorn factory in Taiwan to hold four international certifications — SGS FSSC22000, ISO22000, HACCP, and Halal — covering select products in our range. FSSC 22000 Food Safety Certification
Pop-Smile is certified to FSSC 22000 (Version 6), issued by SGS United Kingdom Ltd.

Certification is granted at the product level rather than for the brand as a whole — currently 20 specific SKUs are certified, including Pop-Smile's own-brand flavors such as Caramel, Cheddar Cheese, Dark Chocolate, Strawberry, Cheese, Hot & Spicy, Bubble Tea, Chili Cheese, Seaweed, and Salted Egg Yolk popcorn. What we commit to in every product
Our popcorn starts with high-quality natural grains. We use 100% non-GMO corn sourced from the US, and we produce with 100% natural coconut oil — no trans fats, no cholesterol, and no added preservatives.
Full traceability, from raw material to finished product
Every batch of raw material goes through regular in-house testing before it reaches production. Combined with our full food traceability system, every product we ship can be traced back through its production history.
Sedex SMETA 4-Pillar Audit — October 2025
In October 2025, Pop-Smile passed the SMETA 4-Pillar audit under Sedex (Suppliers Ethical Data Exchange), covering Labour Standards, Health and Safety, Environment, and Business Ethics. Many international retailers require their partner factories to complete a SMETA audit as part of their own ethical sourcing standards.
Our Sedex membership reference is ZC5000060442 (site reference ZS1000071670). Buyers with Sedex Advance access can verify our SMETA audit and site data directly through the platform.
Is Pop-Smile Halal certified?
Yes. Pop-Smile holds Halal Certificate No. TP20101060925, issued by the Taiwan Halal Integrity Development Association (THIDA), valid through 12 September 2027, covering 20 certified popcorn SKUs. Certification is product-specific, so please confirm status for the exact item you need.
